GAS PISTOL mini provides the additional lift needed to over come the hydrostatic weight on the traveling valve. A good amount of time the pump just shy of having enough PSI force on its own to lift the traveling valve open, this is gain you need! 

Usually a pump tag or tap needed to open the valve.

 

The GAS PISTOL mini is a high quality, precision pump fitting designed to assist any rod insert or hollow pull tube pump or tubing pump to work more efficiently. By assisting the traveling valve to open in gaseous fluid, it allows the gas to pass through the pump with more ease, while keeping the operator from having to tap the pump to keep it running. It’s small size and versatility makes it easy to equip too any of your downhole reciprocating pumps.
